Dimplex FOR20 Electric Fire Heater

Dimplex FOR20 Fortrose Optimyst Electric Stove Fire

The Dimplex FOR20 Fortrose Optimyst Electric Stove Fire combines traditional stove styling with upgraded flame technology and convenient modern heating. Finished in elegant matt black, this updated model retains the popular Fortrose design, complete with authentic opening doors and a realistic log-effect fuel bed. Featuring an improved Optimyst flame system, energy-efficient LED lighting and adjustable crackling fire sounds, it creates a convincing three-dimensional flame and smoke effect without the need for a real fire, chimney or flue.

Upgraded Optimyst 3D Flame Technology

At the heart of the Fortrose is Dimplex's patented Optimyst technology, which combines ultra-fine water vapour with carefully positioned lighting to create realistic three-dimensional flames and swirling smoke. Unlike a conventional flat flame effect, the illuminated vapour rises naturally around the logs, creating impressive depth and movement for a more authentic fire experience.

This latest model features an upgraded Optimyst system with improved vapour performance for a more consistent flame effect. Energy-efficient LED lighting enhances the appearance while helping deliver the distinctive visual effect that makes Optimyst electric fires a popular alternative to traditional stoves.

Traditional Stove Design in Matt Black

The Fortrose combines classic proportions with a refreshed matt black finish, making it a versatile addition to a range of interiors. Its realistic log-effect fuel bed and authentic opening doors complete the traditional stove appearance, creating an attractive focal point in your living room or fireplace setting.

Thanks to its freestanding design, the Fortrose can be positioned within an inglenook, on a suitable hearth or against a flat wall. With no chimney or flue required, it offers the character of a traditional stove with the flexibility of electric installation.

Adjustable 2kW Heating

When you need extra warmth, the integrated fan heater offers a choice of 1kW and 2kW heat settings. Thermostatic temperature control helps maintain a comfortable room temperature by switching the heating on and off as required, making the Fortrose a practical source of supplementary heat during colder weather.

The flame effect operates independently of the heater, so you can enjoy the atmospheric glow throughout the year without generating heat. Whether you want additional warmth on a chilly evening or simply the appearance of a cosy fire during warmer months, the Fortrose adapts to your needs.

Realistic Crackling Fire Sound

Enhance the atmosphere with the built-in crackling fire sound effect, designed to recreate the familiar sounds of a traditional log fire. The volume is adjustable, allowing you to create an immersive fireside experience or turn the sound down when you prefer a quieter setting.

Water Vapour System and Easy Refilling

The Optimyst flame effect uses a 1.1-litre water reservoir to produce its illuminated vapour. Once filled with filtered water, the reservoir provides approximately 8–10 hours of flame effect before normally requiring a refill. The opening stove doors provide convenient access to the tank, making routine refilling straightforward.

Convenient Remote Control

Operating the Dimplex Fortrose is simple with the supplied remote control, allowing you to adjust the fire from the comfort of your seat. Manual controls are also discreetly located behind the opening doors. The remote control batteries are included, helping you get started as soon as the stove is positioned, filled and connected to the electricity supply.
